Chocolate Bark

Truly the easiest way to start making chocolate in your own kitchen is with Chocolate Bark.

It’s actually so easy my 5 year old made this one pictured!

With Easter on the way, why not skip the shops this year & make your very own fabuliciouz choccy treats?! It’s so simple to personalise flavours & make them look really special with a wee bit of ribbon, a cocktail umbrella & curling ribbon!

All you need to do is pop some water in the bottom of a small saucepan & bring to a simmer. In a heat proof bowl, break up some good quality chocolate into pieces & whack that on top of the saucepan (just make sure that the water doesn’t touch the bottom of the bowl or you’ll burn the chocolate). Stir it with a spatula (NEVER a wooden spoon!) until it’s nicely melted before pouring it out onto a tray lined with baking paper. Spread it thinly & get creative with whatever toppings float your boat, just like pizza really 😉 then bung the tray in the freezer for a wee bit to set the chocolate. When set, simply break it up into rough shards & there you have it – personalised, handmade Chocolate Bark!

Cherry & Coconut on Dark Chocolate

Sea Salt on Dark Chocolate

Mini Marshmallows & Crushed Oreo’s on Dark Chocolate

Crushed Candy Canes on White Chocolate

Green Tea & Pistachio Nut on White Chocolate

Lemon Myrtle & Crushed Meringue on White Chocolate
