These crispy pastry parcels have a distinctly Asian flavour twist that’s sure to be a hit at any picnic!
Better still, they’re super quick to whip up in a flash for those last minute, gosh the weather looks nice, let’s have a picnic spontaneous decisions.
Grab a mixing bowl & bung in 1 cup of crumb followed by a 500g packet of sausage mince (or normal mince if that’s what you happen to have in the fridge). Season with a generous amount, about 1/4 cup worth, of parsley flakes & 1 tablespoon each of tomato sauce, worcestershire sauce, sweet chilli sauce & soy sauce, then give that lot a jolly good mix up, hands are your best tools!
Use store bought puff pastry that you’ve thawed out if frozen & it’s a simple case of forming the meat into a sausage shape & popping it along an edge of the pastry sheet & rolling it up.
Cut the long rolls into smaller, bite sized ones & put them onto a baking paper lined tray with the seam side down (this just stops them from cheekily unfurling in the oven), then brush the tops with a splash of milk before whacking them into a 200c oven for 25 minutes.
